About the artwork

"I find inspiration in nearly everything around me, both in the tangible world and the enchanting realms of fairy tales, magic, and storytelling.

Storytelling holds a profound significance in my life. I'm captivated by narratives and tales from across the globe. From stories of bustling trade to the tranquil riverboats on the river Thames, from exploring the intricacies of human behaviour and evolution to the stories that have shaped our existence.

In my everyday life, inspiration is an ever-present companion. It emerges from the intricate beauty of nature, the fascinating behaviour of animals, and the tapestry of our relationships. I draw inspiration from Roman and Greek mythology, the wonders of science and medicine, the structural marvels of building architecture, the artistry of interior design, and the visual expressions of artists.

Tales and magic hold a special allure for me. The world of magic and fairy tales serves as a unique form of storytelling, allowing us to delve into challenging themes in a universally relatable manner.

My artwork, in a similar vein, seeks to convey complex ideas in a way that resonates with everyone.

Certain fairy tales have left an indelible mark on both my life and my work. The enchanting tales of C.S. Lewis's Narnia books, the worlds crafted by J.R.R. Tolkien, the wonders of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland, and, of course, the adventures of Mary Poppins penned by P. L. Travers."
