Fairytales and storytelling with a moral dimension.

Once upon a time…

In the far reaches of the cold and mysterious north, nestled snugly in the midst of the untamed waves of the north-eastern sea and the enchanting city of wonders, there existed quaint little smials. Within the cosy confines of this dwelling, countless stories and fairy tales took shape, each one a reflection of the chaotic yet beautiful world beyond its walls. These tales wove together the tapestry of bygone eras and the bustling present, creating an artistic tableau that offered glimpses into the future.

Among these narratives were the chronicles of fallen kings and men who may have departed this world but still lingered in the echoes of living souls. Stories of resilient women and nurturing mothers, of enigmatic witches and virtuous saints, all contributing their part to the healing and rebuilding of generations.

These legends, in their timeless retelling, reveal an unending cycle of eternity that we, as humans, are all intimately connected to. They remind us that we are all threads in the rich tapestry of existence, where the past, present, and future dance together in an unbroken rhythm.

All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king.
— J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring

Camilla Schutzmann draws inspiration from a myriad of sources, finding the enchantment in both the tangible world around her and the captivating realms of fairy tales and magic.

At the heart of Camilla's artistry lies storytelling. Each of her creations is carefully crafted with a narrative and a message in mind. These tales often draw from our beloved classics, like C.S. Lewis's Narnia series, J.R.R. Tolkien's epic works, the timeless Peter Pan by J. M. Barrie, Lewis Carroll's whimsical Alice in Wonderland, and the cherished adventures of Mary Poppins by P.L. Travers.

Yet, Camilla's artistic canvas also embraces the untold stories we all share as human beings. The stories of loss and grief, of love and animosity, of the pursuit of truth, of the treacherous snares of deception, and of the profound awareness that life is fleeting.

Just as the world of magic and fairy tales has a unique way of conveying the ineffable in a language, we all comprehend, so does Camilla's artwork. It speaks to the profound and the intangible in a manner that resonates with us all.
